Redo "Link" Tabs with "Mapping" Style Content

description

Determine how to use the standard SSIS "mapping" control - or make one - to replace the grid-style "linkage" tab contents.

The mapping paradigm is much more familiar and easy to comprehend.

Notes: Uses DataFlowUsageTypePage class of Microsoft.DataTransformationServices.Design

Thanks to KimYda for info leading to the arrest, conviction, and beatdown of this undocumented capability :)

I am currently rethinking the UI for the next-next (v1.5) version, to try and reduce the load on that "Options" page. The "mapping" style seems less appropriate for what I'm thinking of in the redesign, and my Connect issue has received the cold shoulder from MS, so I'm closing this issue. ** Closed by toddmcdermid 3/25/2009 10:42 AM

Just my opinion....
I actually prefer your current grid implementation.
Even thought I painstakingly create my TSQL to ensure both my source and dimension are ordered the same way, I still am not a fan of the drag and drop standard SSIS "mapping" control. IMHO it is too easy to map things incorrectly using this drag and drop method.
